REPOINTING
Repointing is the process of removing old damaged mortar joints between bricks (the pointing) and replacing them. Bricks can last 100 years or more, mortar generally only lasts 25 years. Therefore, repointing is essential – especially in areas affected by the elements – before full brickwork failure (potentially causing more damage and/or further costs).

BRICKWORK REPAIRS
Replacing bricks – as properties age bricks can become brittle and/or loose, these bricks need to be replaced to protect the integrity and the strength of the walls.
Brick cleaning – bricks need to be cleaned in a manner so the mortar is not weakened or damaged. Our services include – removing paintwork, cleaning mortar, repairing mortar and fixing any defective workmanship.
Brick colouring – Most bricks can be colour matched in this process making them either lighter or darker as required. New bricks are therefore blended to match the existing brickwork.
TUCKPOINTING
Tuckpointing is a specialised brick finish that uses a cosmetic technique intended to disguise uneven brickwork and neaten up joints. The technique involves cleaning out damaged brick and mortar, covering it with a coloured stain, then adding a thin line (generally coloured white, red or black) over the mortar.
